Question regarding a result in a game last night.
Koufax (9.57 mil) is facing switch-hitting Jose Oquendo, who is batting right-handed against Koufax. Man on first. Die result is a 6-5. Koufax’s card says, “HR 1-6; fly(lf)B 7-20.” No homer, so it was a “fly(lf)B.” I believe the rules for that situation say, “batter out, runner holds.” In any case, there aren’t any fly(B) results in the rules that result in a single.
In the game last night, the runner goes to third, and Oquendo gets a single. And the result says, “single(rf)."
Wondering how that could happen.
