Ever consider divisions by salary?

As I said it's gonna be semi-randomized, with the top payrolls having a greater chance to be in the same division. I want some randomization so that people don't make their team selection knowing in which division they will be.

East division will be 1939 Yankees, 2001 Mariners, plus 4 teams randomized among the top 10
Central division will have the four teams not taken in the East, plus 2 teams randomized among the 11th-14th payrolls
Midwest division will have the two other teams among the 11th-14th, plus 4 teams randomized among the last 10 payrolls.
West division will include the two lowest payrolls, plus 4 teams randomized among the last 10 payrolls

1. Montreal Expos 1994 (Marc Pelletier)
2. New York Yankees 1961 (Musial6)
3. 1929 Philadelphia A's (andycummings)
4. 1919 Chicago White Sox (Rosie2167) Let's right the wrong!
5. 1927 Yankees (nymets99)
6. 1953 Brooklyn Dodgers (Garyt) (instead of 1975 Reds)
7. 1968 Detroit Tigers (FALCON29)
8. 1939 Yankees (FrankM)
9. 1962 San Francisco Giants (ycbill)
10.1954 Cleveland Indians Ed2014
11. 1975 Cinci. Reds (gfg001)
12. 1957 Milwaukee Braves (Mike Gilbert)

Ok, let's try and make a push to have 24 teams. Deadline is sunday night. Beware though that we'll start with 12 teams if recruitment fails.

13. 1985 Toronto Blue Jays (GBrookes)
14. '86 Mets (rolandzeut)
15. 1927 Pittsburgh Pirates (YountFan)
16. 2001 M's (davesodu)
17. 1946 Red Sox (Keyzick)
18. 1909 Pittsburgh Pirates (durantjerry)
19. 1990 Oakland A's (giagejoe)
20. 1906 Chicago Cubs (Tony Best)
21.
22.
23.
24.

Only 4 to go!!!

Among the 10 highest payrolls, one team still available, the 1906 Cleveland Naps (Naps for Napoleon Lajoie, of course)

If I am required to have Brett Tomko on my team I should automatically be in the easiest division. Maybe in a division by myself and Tomko will still find a way to make me lose.

Actually, you're kinda lucky: you have the only team that has the luxury to let one pitcher in the pool, as SOM will not allow you to have more than 12 pitchers in your roster---The Mariners have 13 pitching cards available.

This thread is turning into War and Peace.

What is the cap? 91m?

Can I use any version of my player, or do I have to use the card from my team's year?
