I think this more applies to me. Somehow I ended up 3rd in points (maybe a glitch in the program? ) going into the semis without even doing that well. In fact, never actually won a league in the PC! Hard to imagine I will somehow win this one now when winning it all is a requirement. Looking forward to it but have low expectations...although the straight draft should certainly help by going 1, 13, 25, and 37, etc rather than 1, 24, 25 and 48 etc I guess all those playoff ousters added up to something good after all.

Not sure yet, Big. Have not had Trout or Stanton yet so may go there. Don't want to outsmart myself!

No, not that you CAN'T. It just appears HARDER!

Point being, in my opinion, where you are in the draft order is almost irrelevant nowadays. You can still field a competitive team (or two) even if you missed the draft entirely. I have little doubt the finals field will be seperated by little more than a couple of wins. Luck will be the overriding factor from here on out.

The semis will finish either tonite or tomorrow night. No need to hurry things up here.

Let's have everyone check in and announce they're ready to go or warn of any unavailability during the rest of this week. My plan is to have the draft complete by Friday night, so I can build the league out after the weekly deadline and give everyone a full week to prepare their teams before the season begins.

I am checking in here now: I will be available all week and can take proxies for any managers who wish to pass them through me during the draft.

Lastly, a reminder: ballparks can be drafted with any pick. Typically the ballparks are taken with the last picks, but just so everyone is clear, you can pick your ballpark at any time during the draft; however, a ballpark selection must be one of your eight picks.
