ATG ERA THEME LEAGUE # 2 - FULL - Draft Order Complete

Just finished our first go around and I think it was a nice success. Let's play again !

Anyone is free to join, several owners from the first go around have asked to hold them a spot....but several slots are open. First come, first serve.

Specifics:

ATG VIII players set
$140 Mil cap w/ DH
AUTODRAFT
Waivers and the 5/10/20 drop

Each owner will have a UNIQUE (or semi-unique) player pool to pick from.

This go around we will RANDOMIZE a draft order for the choice.

Choices for your teams / to draft:

Team 1: AL Only / Dead Ball only + Negro League Players
Team 2: NL Only / Dead Ball only + Negro League Players
Team 3: AL Only/ Pre-WII only + Negro League Players
Team 4: NL Only / Pre-WII only + Negro League Players
Team 5: AL Only / Deadball and Pre-WII but no Negro League Players
Team 6: NL Only / Deadball and Pre-WII but no Negro League Players
Team 7: AL Only / Post WWII only
Team 8: NL Only / Post WII only
Team 9 AL Only / Expansion only
Team 10 NL Only / Expansion only
Team 11 AL Only / Post WWII + Expansion but NO YANKEES at all
Team 12 NL Only / Post WWII + Expansion but NO DODGERS at all

There will be cards that naturally overlap. It's an auto-draft - rank them wisely. NO HIGH DOLLAR CARD RULE

For players that have MULTIPLE cards, you only get to use the card that pertains to your selection /ERA.

A-Rod's Texas card can be used by Team 9 and Team 11
A-Rod's Yankees card can only be used by Team 9

Joe Dimaggio's 1948 POST WWII card can only be used by Team 7
Joe Dimaggio's other cards can only be used by Team 3 and Team 5

Babe Ruth's 1920 card and pitchers card can only be used by Team 1 and Team 5
Babe Ruth's other cards can only be used by Team 3 and Team 5

Satchel Paige's Negro League card can only be used by Team 1 thru 4
Satchel Paige's Clev Ind Pre WWII card can be used by either Team 3 and Team 5

Just follow the simple rule - ONLY USE THE CARD FOR YOUR ERA you pick. If a player has over-lap, you only get the card he qualifies for you.

After the auto-draft you MUST fix your rosters for non-compliant players. The sooner the better...please don't wait until opening night to fix them. I will check all rosters.

STADIUMS - please match your era with an appropriate stadium.

This is on the HONOR SYSTEM that we all follow our rosters choices for the entire season.

Interested, but rules clarification requested.

Does pre WW2 exclude dead ball? And what year is the dividing line (based on the Ruth comment, I am guessing dead all is 1920 and prior, pre WW2 1921 through 194?,.also what is the divide point for post WW2, the divide to expansion?

Will the selections be randomized, or randomized selection order?

Doc, as I recall from the first league, pre simply means only cards from the game's PRE era are eligible. Since Ruth has both deadball and pre cards, you have to battle for him.

Any cards with "DB" are DeadBall. Any cards with "PRE" are Pre WWII.

....as bontomn said, Ruth is eligible in for Team 1, 3, and 5.

but you must only use the appropriate cards for him depending on what you get.

On the players list How does one get a look at just DB players or Just exspansion players etc?

When you build a team you can either look at the FA wire or at the individual team DROP DOWN LIST.

It will clearly say something like:

NAME TEAM
Ruth, Babe NY-PRE (for Pre WWII)
Ruth, Babe NY- DB (for Dead Ball)

On the players list How does one get a look at just DB players or Just exspansion players etc?

In the Player Set Browser you have to click on the Advanced "screening" which allows you to screen for defense, speed, left or right power, etc.?
Well near the bottom is a years selection - which if you put in the years of Strat's different eras will give you only those players for that era. A little cumbersome maybe, but the only way that I know of.

From the beginning of time to 1920 is the DB, dead ball era.
1921 through 1946 is PRE or pre-WWII, not historically accurate but ?
1947 through 1966 is POST or post-WWII
1967 through 2015 is EXP or the expansion era
