One problem is the lack of a downloadable Excel file for the 1970's mystery leagues on the Strat site. That makes it very time-consuming to figure out the upcoming players for the franchises. Thanks to Rosie2167 for having done the work on the 1960's.

Unless one is a die-hard fan of a particular franchise, I think the ability to switch after a decade would also be desirable. Another franchise league I am in allows a change with draft order inverse to the league won/loss record.

great job on the spreadsheet. we really don't have to include core 5 players on our autodraft list, we can pick them up after the draft. is that correct Rosie?

Yes I saw that issue with the 70's file as well. I'll request the 80's and 90's from SOM but I'm halfway done with the 70's and will post it within 48 hours.

Sure we can switch but that looses a little of the charm for me, but I'm not going to prevent it. The obstacle will be if the franchise that you want is available.

I knew this would come up and technically as it stands now no you don't have to include them on your list. But here's what is causing me to think about this. There will be quite a few players tied up that will be dropped at some point to make room for your core. Now does that motivate trades? Probably. But I want to avoid a bunch of roster movement right at the very end.

Let me spend this afternoon thinking a bit more about this. If anyone has an opinion feel free to chime in.

Here's what I've come up with after looking over the potential rosters. It seems impossible to me that everyone of the franchises wouldn't carry at a minimum of 5 of their core5 players. Most will carry way more than that but I did see one or two that might get close to 5, but no way lower. That being said, in my opinion not drafting at least 5 of your core5 on your autograft list will only create some unnecessary havoc. So unless someone has a very different viewpoint 5 core5 will be the low mark to be included on your autograft list.
