This should be here (really should merge this thread with Garcia's latest thread)

In defense of "secret formulas" and fearful managers...
When I go to McDonald's, I avoid the grilled chicken wrap. Just because it was offered to increase the customer base doesn't mean I have to embrace it. I'll just stick to what I enjoy.
I have zero, and I mean complete zero, doubt that I could navigate the ATG and Mystery formats with the same winning percentages I have with 20XX. I would just rather spend my time and money on the 20XX game. Trust me, it's not out of "worry".
With regard to the new daily game, I already played it as a beta tester and it wasn't for me. I'm not sure how picking a team from the entire field of available players with daily changing player prices is the authentic "GM/manager experience", but if you like that idea, then by all means, enjoy! No need to disparage others who don't agree with your assessment though. People play these games for all kinds of reasons. Just because they're not your reasons doesn't justify trying to minimize their records.
Rich, just 'cause some of us don't find the new game appealing, that's no reason to keep lobbing veiled insults. Some people like chocolate ice cream, some like vanilla, nothing wrong with either one, simply a difference in taste.
