NEW, NEW 24 Team Keeper League Forming.

TGORM, or, Ghost as we know him, has offered to commish the league. A new member to the boards, has inquired about getting in a keeper league, and, a few of us keeper league junkies chimed in about starting a 24 team keeper, but the new member hasn't replied yet. We will reserve a spot for him of course, it was his idea after all.

Rules can be discussed, but all keeper leagues are pretty much the same, just need to iron out prospect and stadium rules I think. Those, are usually the only rules that differ from league to league.

Anyhoo, without further ado, lets get this list public and start this baby rolling!

I'm not going to join, only because I'm already in 2 of these 24 team keeper leagues.

I'm just posting here to say that these are the best leagues of any kind in strat, because they come the very closest to replicating the role of a real life baseball GM and coach! (Coaching a team is a real challenge where you have to live with some imperfections, without access to a free agent pool once the first season starts).

So, good luck, and enjoy!!!! And by the way, for anyone joining in for later seasons as a replacement manager (perish the thought), the fun is just as great, and maybe more, as you take the remnants of someone else's vision, and remake it with your own vision. All the best guys!!!

I enjoy the 24 more than the other leagues I play in
followed by NL and AL only
the limits are areal test
played in the 6 team league felt like the luck of HAL was all ....

IMO the only reason there are not more 24 team leagues is the trouble finding 24....

Come on folks, lets get this filled before the cards come out in one month, get the rules ironed out, draft order set, and be ready to rock and or a roll with the new set!

And, I too, like the 24 team, and AL and NL leagues. I wish we could combine our NL league and AL league into one 24 team league.

I am open to that
with 12 of us playing in the NL
and 12 of us palying in the AL

then flip and draft again for season 2....

How about this... 12 AL teams, 12 NL teams... and if you have an AL team and your player gets traded to the NL, then for next year's card set, those players would still have some value. You could trade your NL players to teams in the NL League for their players that got traded to an AL team. Make sense

Of course, the AL teams and NL teams would be in their own pair of divisions... the only problem would be that the whole league would have to be a DH league, given the limitations of the online game. We also would not be in control of ensuring divisional playoff series matchups.

Interesting to think outside the box...

Ah, heck I'll join, and I'll promote the league as much as I can! Sign me in!
