When I asked him what rules he was using, his VERY FIRST message to me is about underhanded chicanery, prison, ethics, MY PARENTS??? .... Just what we need another 65 year old mousy Internet tough guy...Does he think by posting my full real name that will somehow distract from his behavior, or shame me?

Furthermore, does Petrosian or The Last Druid think because he has played this format at least a hundred times and I have played it zero times he can shame me into not even trying to compete?

I have news for ya buddy, we have the same winning percentage but you definitely beat me when it comes to whining percentage
.

You would think after 1500 teams he would learn the game a bit better or at least learn how to treat people....

Should I be shamed for not having played this format? Excuse me for liking a salary cap and oh by the way, if we did have a cap we wouldn't have to worry about his UNWRITTEN RULES... Are there more unwritten rules this guy plays by that I should know about?

No wonder it is hard to attract new players!

If you want to be commissioner and you want the rules a certain way IS IT ASKING TOO MUCH TO LET US KNOW YOUR RULES IN ADVANCE.... Now I am not asking in advance anymore, I am asking six games into the season.... If you do not want to have to deal with such an inferior player, such as myself, why be commissioner in the first place?

Your whining percentage is much more impressive than your winning percentage, which is pretty ho hum for someone who has played 1500 teams.... And who knows how many teams you have played under other aliases...

I think if there are restrictions on add/drops in a 999 league, they should be explicitly stated prior to signing up for the league. It could easily be done in the comments section when forming the league. Though I can't recall when, I've done it with Cobb and Musial, but not for injury. Regardless, unless declared, I assume (ASS out of U and ME?) going into the draft that anything goes.

IS what you are saying that the Druid's timeline of emails is somehow incorrect,

b/c they kind of make sense the way he laid em out-- not that it really matters.

Being commissioner of the league is only slightly more than a formality since once the league is created its not as if they have anything more than a verbal ability to do anything- unless they contact som or something anyway.

Unless one creates a thread and says here is a theme I want for a league and enlists signups title of commissioner is pretty meaningless. Creating a league officially makes you commissioner. But most of the time for me that simply means I did not find a league existing that had all the options I wanted (cap, DH/noDH, waivers, etc). There is no power or authority involved.

A lot of the rest here appears to be just trash talkin. If you like that go at it within private message of a league. Not sure here is the best place to do the talkin. Usually in a public forum just makes you look like a troublemaker. Can also make it appear you are looking to win the trash talkin by popular vote. And I doubt many who have been around on boards will fall in to that trap. Admit in my younger, more foolish days I might have. Hoping though I finally got smarter. :D Probably not. Alwyas claimed to be a wise guy but that can be taken multiple ways.

Look at the date of this thread... Look at the date of the messages.... Look at the very first message he sent in respond to my question of the rules... The facts speak for themselves...

This was the very FIRST message he sent me, in regards to my question about the rules:
To: Me
From: The Wrong Stuff (The Last Druid)
Date: Tuesday, 1/26/2016 3:21pm

Radagast,

I see that prison had little effect on your ethical sensibilities, as only someone who is ethically challenged would even entertain the underhanded chicanery you presume I will engage in

Like I said, the facts speak for themselves... Is this anyway to speak to someone inquiring about the rules from the commissioner ? Is there any reason you can think of for him to speak to anyone this way? I was nothing but polite....???? Seriously????

I never said the timeline is incorrect, I did not bother looking at his timeline.... You think this is how people should speak to one and other over a question to the commissioner ?? Wow, okay.

Steinbrenner and Martin ? Nope just Richard Milter.

PostWed Jan 27, 2016 10:53 pm

Amazing the level of lies and distortions that continuously issue forth from this clown, with each successive post. Billy Martin's infamous comment about Steinbrenner and Reggie Jackson, is doubly applicable to this guy's behavior - he's a born liar AND convicted felon. There was no inquiry initially about rules whatsoever and now he postures that there was. All of the league messages of his and mine were reproduced by me in this thread in the exact time stamped order in which they occurred. After I called him on his initial taunt about Schmidt, that is when he chose to play the innocent querent about allegedly undisclosed "rules." And then, as Valen adeptly pointed out, he appeals to the court of public opinion, but the time stamped league messages speak for themselves and he just comes off as utterly disingenuous and petty and frankly, stupid beyond belief.
