100 Mil DH, Diamond Dope

I will set this up tonight. I also have some instructions for how Diamond Dope works that I will dig out as we do have some green dopers. Once I have everyone with a confirmation that they are ready and that they are satisfied with how to "do dope" we can get this underway.

Logically, we might be looking at Monday to cast the first picks.

I would also appreciate a refresher on how the DD draft works. I've only done it once before, but it worked out OK.

DD is pretty simple, and you can set proxies. There are a couple of cautionary notes though.

1. Proxies are not on unless you turn them on.

2. Never add to your proxy list while proxies are turned on, if a bunch of picks get made while you are adding proxies, it will take the guy from your active window instead of from the top of your proxy list. And remember to turn your proxies back on when you are through.

3. You can only add proxies from the "picks" window. You can only keep track of other activities from the "summary" window.

4. Unless you use IE, when you search for a player and then hit enter, you will get the top 25 remaining pitchers page, not your guy. You need to hit the button Ned t to the name text box instead.

5. It is serious about the clock, if your time expires and people all have proxies set you could see a whole flock of players get picked. But if the next draft slot doesn't have a proxy set, it will stop. This means the guys picking 1 and 12 are immune from this fear.

I'm sure there are other tricks, but these are enough to get me through.
