This is a very busy time of year for them - and don't forget they are a much smaller company than you can imagine

According to their own press release this year was their most profitable ever. If you are too busy to meet deadlines then hire someone. When they brought up new additions in December they knew what time of year it was and what would be involved in delivering. When they stated in the blog the cards would be available in next couple weeks they knew what time of year it was and what was on their plates. If you cannot deliver do not promise it. If you are always behind but making record profits add a full time employee and build on the success you are having.

Actually I do not understand why this has to be so long and drawn out at all. How many times has George posted polls and spreadsheets of cards that have been requested? And how many times have we all voted in those polls.

Why can't they just routinely at the beginning of each month take the top 20 vote getters from those spreadsheets and add them without any drama of nominating, revoting, and then waiting forever for the new cards to show up?

I can understand some glitches first time they added cards. But they should have a process to follow by now that would make this a smooth process.

I agree with what Valen just said. Just add the first 20-40 posted every month with NO polls. Talk about Keep It Simple Stupid! SOM it can't get any easier.

I much prefer some type of voting rather than simply adding every card nominated by the first twenty or forty guys (potentially adding a card that may be wanted by only one person). At least voting gives us some hope that we won't have a bunch of guys from the 1870's(like the king of the fair foul bunt) and cards with great stats on limited plate appearances.

As to the speed of adding the cards, largely agree with valen.

Question: How is it if they can't get 22 cards into this set(cards which are already made but just need to be priced) in a couple weeks, but they will be able to change and reprice all the cards daily for Daily Baseball"? Seems like a lot of work to do every day there vs. not much here.

What I was saying though is the voting has already been done if they use the spreadsheets and polls already taken by so many of us here and maintained by george bernard. Unless someone believes he has falsified the results. He took the effort to scan the boards and add every card ever mentioned by anyone as desired and put it on the spreadsheet and then ran multiple polls over the years so we could identify which ones were most desired.

I guarantee if they just grabbed the top 20 off those spreadsheets at the first of every month we all would get every card we wanted much faster than this twice a year nomination, poll a week or two later, with actual add of 20 cards a month or two after that. Think about it. Are you more likely to get the needed franchise players you need with 40-60 cards being added every year or 240? Heck, I do not see why they could not add a dozen cards every week with this method. All it would take would be pricing them.

Regarding the daily baseball I suspect accurate pricing will not be critical. If the card and the price changes daily both are being simply computer generated. And no card is going to stay static long enough for anyone to identify if it is over or under priced. So does it really matter?
