He is on my opponent's team. McCovey is the starting 1B but is an injury risk - so I assume Wasdell is getting the starts out of position at first in the last few meaningless games before the playoffs. He had a grand total of 8 ABs until this week's games.

Yeah I'm resting everyone I can before the playoffs, but maybe Jimmy is campaigning for some playing time.
