Thanks again to Smokey and Craig for getting the clean rosters & availables list out. I owe you guys a drink! I'd say "beer" but Smokey knows I'm not a beer guy. :D

Completely off topic/side note - I just saw Michael Brantley is trying to get back by Opening Day, which would be cool. My 2nd game ever attended at Fenway, had to have been summer 2011. I remember texting a few of you guys some pics I took at that game cuz I was on a business trip and had a free night in the city, scored some good tix in 3rd row down the 3rd base line.

Anyway CLE was in town, and Brantley, who had not done much in his career at that point, was really impressive that night. He didn't hit 3 HR or anything but I remember just going to the game and seeing who stood out, and I recall a really smooth swing, nice gliding D in the OF. Just a kid who looked like a ballplayer. Never was able to get him in any leagues until now, so glad I finally get him on a Strat roster after liking what I saw way back when.

OFF- off topic, but relevant

Thank you rburgh for your sympathetic comment about Google Chrome browser. Yes, recent installation. Finally went directly to Apple Service and the online guy cleared things up, so I've got my desktop back.

I'd leave more, but apparently there is a limit. :x

You have Hundley and Martyin, you don't even need a catcher, in fact no one did, that's why I passed and was going to grab him in round 2. :x

LMFAO! I told both you guys in the offseason that you would need a C, and that (my) McCann would save you a draft pick. But Stoney insisted McKenry would get a good enough card and Niners said "there are at least 5 better than B McCann" - not after the cards came out! And here you both are, fighting over each other to spend a high pick on a one-sided C. Love it.

I still think there are 4 better than B McCann, James McCann was just far ans away the top one available, and he's not THAT one sided, (in fact James is way better than Brian) he's playable vs RHP he just absolutely crushes LHP. I also don't see how Brain (or James for that matter ) is needed on a team with Russel Martin and Nick Hundley. If I had both those guys wouldn't be looking at a catcher at all.

I rate McCann pretty even with most of the catchers left. LHness counts for a lot in my ratings as you know, and his D is back to 2 range with a minus arm. But yes, Stoney taking another C is interesting, maybe stockpiling to create scarcity? ;)

Anyway, folks, give me a holler if you might want to deal a pick around here. I have the following as trade bait:

3rd round FA pick & other later picks
Adam Eaton, kickass leadoff DH in this set
Cody Allen RP - reverse RH card with no BP HRs and killer Ks

Dave, let's correct things a little. You wanted to trade B McCann for Parra. McCann wasn't going to much of an improvement over Hundly (not McKenry) and Parra is a solid platoon with good D and arm. A little disappointed in his OB but still pretty useful.

I still rate Hundley better vs R than McCann. Low hit, low OB power hitter may fit what you want but not what I like. To each his own. I'll be better with Hundley/Parra than B McCann.

As far as J McCann. I have a mediocre team. I'll hold my own but probably not going to challenge the leaders. With all the prospects we draft I didn't find any impact cards that would significantly improve my chances so I took the player I felt could help more in the future.

I concur wholeheartedly on Brian McCann, he hits for power, when he hits, which won't be often. I'd rather sacrifice some power for a guy with better contact and on base thanks. I think qk has over sold him.

And your team is better than average I'd say, at least in position players that's why you were supposed to pick a SP and leave McCann for me in round 2 :x

Was hoping we'd at least GET to round two this weekend. Surprised Smokey hasn't picked given that he helped with the available's list, I thought he'd be around. :(

It's possible, I'll check the transaction thread.
