NL Keeper Chat Thread

Question - I have Oliver Perez on my 30 man roster. He started 2015 with the Diamondbacks, but finished the year with the Astros (AL). He's carded in 2015 to the Astros. But he's now signed a contract with the Washginton Nationals (December 2015).

Do I automatically "lose" him from my roster, because he finished 2015 with an AL team? I think that's the answer, but I wanted to check.

By the way, my team essentially consists of 3 decent NL hitters, and 6 decent NL pitchers:

Panik
Peralta
Pollock

Bumgarner
DeGrom
Gonzalez, Gio (bad year, but somewhat playable)
Melancon
Clippard
Hatcher

It's going to be Bumgarner, DeGrom and 3 days of rain, folks!

As with every season guys, I appreciate the eagerness to get the season rolling. I will announce when drops are due and will post a separate drop thread for everyone (as we always do) and that's where we'll post our drops. Remember we won't be getting going with this one until after April 15th so now that the online set is out I'll finalize the spreadsheet with auto drops and promotions. Enjoy your other keepers in the meantime.

I'm sure by now you've seen Michael is going through some things right now in his personal life, so he asked me to replace him in the league since we haven't started yet.

Steve Korte has agreed to take over his team and while in the process of typing this up, Tom (CATom) let me know he'll have to drop out as well (both AL and NL)

As I mentioned the other night, CATom had to step away from the league so Tim K forwarded a gentleman to me who had been looking to join a keeper.

I'd like to introduce Tim Hageman to everyone and he will be taking over for CATom immediately in this and the AL only keeper. His SOM username is his email tah242@gmail.com. Let's welcome him to the league and we'll get our business going with the league this week.

Hey guys

Now that the AL is completed, I'm working on the spreadsheet for the NL.

Since the majority of us are in both leagues, I'm not going to put up for a vote the keeping of uncarded players as long as they stayed with their NL team since it passed without any no's. We will just implement that beginning this year as well with any uncarded players from last year being able to be saved along with any this year.

Once I have the spreadsheet updated, I'll get the list of availables to everyone and we'll get the drop thread up and once done, we'll get the FA draft rolling. In the meantime, since we have prospects in this one, I'll be getting the prospect draft going and that will have it's own thread. I'll let all of you know once that's up and we'll get going on that here by the end of the week.
