change ballpark before season starts

PostSat Jan 30, 2016 7:36 pm

After a horrible cpu draft i would like the ability to change my home ball park like we can in the live drafts.
Something strat can change in all time great 9. Or even change format in all game now
Thanks dave

You may try writing their customer service address and see if you can change the park, they used to allow that from what I have heard.

I agree completely with what you are saying, it should be like it is with the live drafts where you can choose your park AFTER you see your team, the other way is kind of backwards... Good luck!

strat had set up the change park after draft option or select park after draft option but the feedback was totally negative so they did away with the option.

They will change it for a theme league if someone accidentally uses an ineligible park, but they wont change it just because you have a bad draft and want a redo.

I think this should be allowed for AD leagues at $140 million or above, and disallowed otherwise.

I think the real problem is that the game is too much about the ballpark. The stats especially concerning HRs are ridiculous . Sandy Koufax who arguably is the greatest pitcher to play the game gets hammered routinely because of these parks. Forget about the Dominican Dandy he is almost unusable in power stadiums. I would love to see a pitchers card that reflects how they pitch in certain situations . Koufax may have given up home runs but I would bet they were mostly in games where the Dodgers had a good lead. Palmer never allowed a grand slam HR. These pitchers could win in any ballpark so unless Strat can incorporate a more realistic way to reflect how pitchers pitch in situations with men on base or with leads the Ball Park will continue to dominate the outcome of the gmes. I understand how some parks can effect the home run ball with various distances etc, however I never understood the wide variety of single effects that Strat has created in various ballparks. After all is not every infield the same regulation distance ? Yes I realize that some parks have more foul territory than others; additionally the green monster at Fenway can have a significant bearing on base hits but an infield is an infield ! How can one park be more advantageous for say a lefty hitter than another , when we're just talking singles ?????? IMHO the ballpark effects for singles has been greatly exaggerated and unrealistic.

It does seem that ballpark effects are magnified too much, though I have not played it enough to be a great judge of this.

Ballpark DO indeed have an effect on batting average though, foul territory of course one of the biggest reasons. I'm just not sure HOW much of an effect this should really be, and if SOM translates that to the right percentages of effect.

Singles are greatly effected by the amount of foul ground in a ballpark.
