Are you willing to give up defense to eliminate the DP chances?
If so, then look at 6.03 Evans at 3b. A very different kind of hitter, but 31 fewer GbA chances vs RHP and none vs LHP.

That said, Buck Weaver is a fine option.

Or there's always Heinie Groh.

What about Bill Madlock? Kell does have a lot of double plays.

Is Pie available? or you could trade down Radatz to get Boggs.

Cheaper guy who will hit as well as Kell for half the price; Red Smith.
