Looking for Managers to have a draft on the ILC Boards.
6 Team League
Cap: $175 Million
DH: Yes
Once we obtain 6 Managers, we will request a random number sequence. The Manager with pick number 1 will then select which draft spot he wants, and so on. Once the draft spots are selected, we will begin the draft.
Rules:
1. In turn, each Manager will select three (3) players which all must come from the same franchise. For example, the selections from the first manager may be: Ruth, Mantle and Gehrig.
2. You don't need to use the highest value card of a player, but the card used must be from that 3 player group franchise. For example, if you chose Lajoie with two other A's players in that 3 player group, you could not then use one of his Cleveland cards.
3. This will be a serpentine draft (1 to 6, then 6 to 1, and so on) - such that Manager selecting 6th will also select 7th, the Manager with the 1st selection will also draft 12th and 13th...
4. Once you draft a 3 player group from a franchise, you cannot select from that franchise again. Thus, if a Manager selects from the Yankees in any round, that would be the only Yankee player selections he could make.
5. There will be eight (8) rounds of drafting 3 players from a franchise.
6. A 9th round will consist of naming a ballpark from a franchise not selected by that Manager previously and a 25th player from the same franchise as the ballpark.
7. The following will be also considered franchises:
a) The NEL League
b) The West Coast (California, Seattle, San Diego)
c) The Heartland (Colorado, Kansas City, Milwaukee-Exp)
d) The Eastern Seaboard (NY Mets. Florida, and Tampa Bay)
e) The Southwest (Arizona, Houston, and Texas)
f) Team Canada (Montreal and Toronto)
g) Any pre-1900 players (e.g., Ross Barnes, Lady Baldwin, etal.) not on the drop down menus for any listed franchise.
8. A franchise includes any of its former teams (e.g., the Giants include the NY Giants).
9. The old Wash teams will be part of the Minn. franchise.
10. Trades will be allowed.
11. Each Manager must end up with a total of eight (8) 3-player groups from different franchises, along with a 25th player from the same franchise as used for the ballpark.
12. Time Clock: A Manager will have 24 hours to select a 3 player group. We will use the "date stamp from the ILC post. If not chosen in that time, the next Manager can select, with the skipped Manager being able to make his selections at any time after he is skipped. Note: Sunday will not count. So if the last Manager made his selection at 11:00 pm on Saturday, the next Manager has until 11:00 pm on Monday. I'm hoping we can move the draft along at a much quicker pace - especially as there will only be 6 Managers.
