NOTE: Additional Rule -

Even though this is a high cap (175 MIL) league, there is still a cap. Each team is responsible for including each of their draft selections on their roster list (before waivers, before "pre-season"). There are to be no switches to a player that wasn't drafted (unless via trade) before waivers. Note: if a trade occurs before all the teams are loaded, it must fit into the 3-player group/eight (8) franchise requirement. If a trade doesn't fit into such requirement, just announce it on the board here, and actually make it during the pre-season time period.

You can obviously list a lower value card (as long as same franchise) when you enter your roster, but you cannot use a lower value card for that player from another franchise. For example, I can use Larry Walker's 9.48M card when entering my team, but not his 6.11 card - since that card is from a different franchise (Team Canada).

If you somehow still find yourself not being able to get under the cap when you load your team, you will be required to do the following to fix your error:

1. Drop your "25th ballplayer" and select a lesser value one from that same franchise (e.g. the franchise selected with your ball park). This does not include selecting a new ballpark with a different franchise 25th player.
2. If that still does not fix the problem, drop a player from your eighth franchise for a lesser value player.
3. If that still does not fix the problem, drop another player from your eighth franchise...etc.

I plan to check team rosters before waivers to verify that each player drafted is on the roster and the eight "3 player group" franchises requirement has been maintained.

After all teams have been loaded and the pre-season arrives, you can make whatever transactions. Once Game 1 arrives and all the way thru the season, each team will be required to again maintain the original player/franchise restrictions.

JoeyC, please re-confirm that I can pick my Stadium + 1 selection before round 9. It was not in the updated rules.

What about a trade of players from different franchises, that would make the rosters out of the rules, immediately followed by a drop/add to again become compliant? Is that allowed or does every trade after the season begins have to be within the rules without an immediate drop/add? I am assuming this sort of thing is NOT allowed but just checking to be sure.
