Here is the problem with what you are saying, Charlie,
(not getting into unfair 'dice management' since ive got no knowledge on it; and I dont love using analogies, but given the circumstaces)

IF I sell you a car with the stated estimated mpg at 30 hiway and 20 city--
and the car performs at times 50 mpg hiway and 15 in the city and then sometimes it performs at 25hiway and 25 city,
etc.

Well, maybe just maybe, some people would ask the company for an explanation of why their vehicle is performing so erratically, differently than whats stated--.

Maybe some folks say, Ill just plot a bunch of data points to figure out why its doing that, and then Ill drive where it works best-- and well, ya know what, doesnt matter what anyone else does, they can figure it out or not-- also doesnt matter if Im actually right, will just go with it.

and heres the real problem: Its when you oppose people asking for the explanation, because it might somehow lower the value of your own analysis.

You think everyone didn't notice their TDI diesel was getting 45-50 when they were rated for 35? And that when a group spent months analyzing data and proved the data showed the engine didn't run pollution control on road only when in testing mode, that government officials of Europe and the USA with the power to jail executives of VW went to VW and demanded explanations and are given, "it was a software modification we knew nothing about and was done by 3 rogue engineers", that when you and Nev demand to know how software calculated that Barry Bonds and Dave Johnson got the same home runs or that there is 150 more home field hits than should be at this point, that if only I agree with you and Nev that honesty and decency will prevail and all shrouds shall come down.

Hell, down in Texas if a Supreme Court justice dies with a pillow over his head they phone in the cause of death from 100 miles away in a Kohl's while clothing shopping.

But since you think that now after 13 years of Nev claiming the game is shrouded in a secret black box code, that once revealed will result in the most wonderful online stratomatic game experience ever and a bring an understanding equivalent to Revelations in the Bible, I promise here and forever, I will never again post any data or comments that contradict or opposes Nev's in any way on his journey for the black box and wish that his quest and yours is met by finding this Holy Grail of programming data is laid out in a clear and understandable manner for all of Stratkind to understand.

But if you truly believe that somehow I have prevented you from finding the black box data over these past 13 years, in a manner similar that Ponce de Leon held Juan Ceron responsible for his failure to find the Fountain of Youth in restricting his activities in Florida. I think going forward you shall find your experience quite similar to Ponce de Leon's after he had Ceron arrested and sent back to Spain. A lot of power, a few bars of gold, but dead in the long run just the same without ever finding what he claimed to be searching for the entire time his reign of power endured over the territory he so clearly marked as his domain.

Charlie--

actually appreciate your attempt at answering, no saracasm.

But, its completely missing the point- and worse in this case, you are saying that despite the fact that you know the rolling is wrong-- we shouldn't do anything or ask anything because in the end there just be an excuse???

You don't have to agree, but geez, can you not see that when you say this stuff it gives the company an excuse not to provide answers?

NO one is saying this will SOLVE all issues-- not once has that been said. BUT at least we can KNOW that 1)in fact its wrong
2) figure out if it makes sense and 3) in an IDEAL world actually have a case to change something IF necessary.

Maybe its okay with you that 13 mill Mantle hits 25 home runs in a lefty park one season and 80 the next and just chalk it up to the 'dice'-- but it shouldn't be, or at the very least KNOW why that would happen MORE than TWICE in a blue moon.

Please a post a link to the team that got 25 homers from the 61 Mantle in a lefty park.

Id have to go digging-- and don't feel like doing that atm.
but I will post a current team where Mantle has 8 HRs in 175 ABs-
and Dickey has 4 in 135 ABs or so.

There are a couple of guys on this team, seaver for ex. is a poor fit- overall its by far my worse current team.
anyway, think it should be doing better than this.

Here Bonds is on pace for 120 HRs and 230 RBI. He already has 61 HRs and 116 RBI.

I was told by "The Last Druid", Petrosian or Bruce "You are not capable of rational thought". So for me this is all very hard to understand, especially since I wasn't around much for the first several ATG editions. It is also hard for me to understand how a person who is incapable of a single rational thought could be beating someone who has played this ATG8 no cap format over a 1000 times more than than the person who is incapable of rational thought...

it logically in their best interest to keep Druid in their favor in an effort to keep their best customer happy and a few extra wins will assuage a fragile ego - and his ego must be quite fragile if he resorts to looking up as embarrassing information on a person as possible and post on the forum to bring character questions into a debate when Druid is Stratomatically challenged, the fact he can accuse another player here of criminal activity, something he has done multiple times while still being able to post should show quite clearly the level of favor he has earned from "dice management".

First, amen brother....

Second, how funny that this guy who is well into his 60s has to resort to posting about my criminal record. It probably really bothers him (and it should) that he has played this game with this format over a 1000 times to my once and I am still hanging tough (currently one game behind him in the division race)

Thirdly, I am not in the least bit ashamed of my criminal record which is for felon marijuana possession. I am embarrassed for The Last Druid that he feels the need to resort to such behavior.... By the way, how ironic that someone who claims to be a "Liberal Libertarian" and calls himself quite ironically "The Last Druid" is calling me out for my pot possession?

Lastly, the "Legend" status afforded to Druid is not for winning percentage or anything else involving merit, it is simple put, for money spent, which goes to gkhd11a's point.

Wasn't this thread supposed to be about Barry Bonds 14.54 million dollar card? Does anyone care to comment on how that card compares to some of the Babe Ruth cards?... Cheers!
