Dope Draft

PostThu Feb 11, 2016 2:59 pm

I would like to pull the plug on the Diamond Dope Draft app. Any objections?

Objection #1

We have been using the Dope draft for our keeper leagues and it turns our 6 round draft into a couple of days rather than a couple of weeks on the boards.

Please keep it.

Thanks Adiran for a great website!

Adrian,
I'll say I"ll miss diamonddope but you have to do what is best for you and your family.
Over the years you have put a lot of time in first building the site, then maintaining it for
what is it now ten years?? You've always been right there to fix things when needed.
If you do shut the site down know that is was appreciated and you have my many thanks
for all you did and do, including the tournament setups in Las Vegas.

My Best to you Adrian no matter what you decide.

Hey Joe! Let's not get ahead of ourselves. I was only thinking of shuttering the draft app. I heard one objection from hackra, so that's enough to keep it going for now. Any other feedback is appreciated!

Adrian, I was hoping that you wouldn't shut down the site as Doc Hackra said turns weeks of drafting into days.
Just the proxy system alone allows for drafts with managers that have varied work schedules (midnight's, days, afternoons) or just plain allows for managers from all over the globe (Munich_Man, thaiBill, etc.) and time zones to participate in a draft and have it completed in days. I believe it has always been a very helpful tool in making Live ATG Drafts fun. SO just scuttle the idea if you don't mind. ;)

Can you just sell your draft code to SOM so they can include it in their online draft app? That would take the burden off of you without harming the community here.

I'm with Doc and Joe, Adrian. I truly appreciate all you've done over the years and wish you nothing but the best whatever you do in the future. But I, too, hope you can continue the draft for a bit longer.

Best regards,

Tom

Yo, Adrian???????????????? You are the best!!!!!!!!!!! Half of the fun I have with strat is using your site to do research. Two thirds of the fun for our drafts is having your draft thread, proxies, etc. I took over administrating the Armchair about ten seasons ago. Doc X, created it and for many seasons we used the ILC. What a freaking pain. Led some of us to begin using blood pressure medicine. I cannot tell you how much you, your services have been a blessing to those of us who use it. And all the time!!!!!

Will you please run for the Republican Presidential position, I will vote for you, many times. I am from Chicago and we vote early and often. I know Joe will vote several times for you as well and maybe BDward. Please, please keep it rolling. But like Joe said, do what you gotta do for your family.

What a way to wake up and see a thread like this and I am going in this morning for a physical, my BP will be off the charts.

LOVE you Adrian

Adrian: I can hardly add to the above extensive plaudits and accolades to you for the fine work you have done for the online ATG SOM community in providing the Diamond Dope service. Not a day goes by that I don't consult the card reader and your draft application continues to be used by many ongoing leagues, including the Armchair league (of which dspeters5 is the commish), which with the help of Diamond Dope, will soon be entering its 62nd season. So I join those who say, if it's no great burden or inconvenience to you to keep the site and draft app up and running, please do so.

That being said, I just created on Diamond Dope the draft for Armchair 62. However, I noticed that none of the 22 new cards has been added to the available players. Assuming that you keep the Diamond Dope draft app for a while longer, do you have a time table for adding the new cards?

Start should hire you to make recreate their draft.
