I vote no on the 24 hr time for drops.You should have to announce drops when confirming trade as to not give someone the opportunity to make another trade to get back to the 40 man roster limit.

As far as the draft pick rule I definitely vote no.The fowldog corollary can be a bit confusing at first (and since I believe it is Bills(and KD's??) brainchild he will definitely explain it better). In essence if I am at 30 before the draft starts and have 10 picks in the 1st 4 rds the rule allows me to trade my 5th,6th,7th,8th.9th and 10th rd picks for other considerations basically giving me 16 picks in a draft where I have only 10 roster spots available. Definitely a very unfair advantage to the rest of us.

What if a guy had traded let's say his 9th round FA pick in a minor deal very early on.

Then months later decided to rebuild his team and acquired 9 first round FA picks (unlikely but go with me). So he now has 10 picks in the first round. Would he now be forced to drop 18 players just because he much earlier traded that ninth pick?

Short answer no. This is where the confusion lies. He doesn't have to make cuts for the acquired 8 extra 1st round picks those cuts have been made by the team that traded them away. Provided he makes 9 cuts he's good.. Hawk describes the perfect scenario, the Fowldog Corallary is in place to prevent the exact scenario he paints above.

That's part of the current rule, that nI didn't change, so you'd need to suggest that change as a rule change.

Sorry maybe this is stupid question then, but basically it's more about when the picks are traded then, before or after cuts/start of draft

This is the most sense this rule has ever made to me.

...And in our league we can still trade those draft picks prior to the start of the draft, but not during? (I'm slow).

Also, we can disregard my rule change. But feel free to propose a change to the 24 hour rule and make it immediate. If someone doesn't, of course, we don't have any expressed penalty (is the deal nixed?).
