I was just like you, we limited players to 110% usage in my dice and card days (so the 68 Gates Brown didn't dominate that set)--though one of my favorite useless cards was the 78 (I think) Pepe Frias 15 ab and over .500 slugging -- 36 hit chances on his card, 23 Doubles and 13 Triples.

On-line was a big adjustment for me (first played with 2012 set online). Those lower use cards are just as good as a regular (Soler in 2014 is a great example--he was not unleashed either) Ignore the AB and just look at injury chances, but even a 6 injury guy can usually get 100 to 110 games played--high injury guys are cheaper and can be worth it--especially catchers as when carrying only 2 if one gets hurt the other is injury proof until the one that is hurt is eligible.

Wieters/Cervelli was a fun combo.

That is funny. I must have used the Wieters/Cervelli combo about a dozen times this past year. They were a productive due! BTW, I started this thread by complaining about 3 players who had 100+ ABs being tagged as unleashed. Soler is a good example with his 89 ABs this season. Soler is one of the reasons, I thought Mahtook and a couple others would be in the regular set. Soler numbers weren't much different than these guys. Oh well, time to move on.

Mahtooks .970 ops was 300 points higher than his AAA numbers and well above his numbers at all levels of the minors other than 2011 Fall league. Solers .900 ops in 2014 was below his 2014 minor league numbers. I assume Strat considered Solers numbers more reasonable and Mahtooks not so much.

Stroman went 27 innings. Why would he get carded?

He didn't Steven Matz is one of the unleashed though, haven't checked the others yet.
