Stadium Question Fenway '05 (14-14-4-10)

OK a Baseball question

If the 1905 Boston Americans played in Huntington Ave Grounds and the 1905 Boston Braves played at South End Grounds and Fenway Park wasn't built until 1912.

How is there a Fenway Park '05 ?
(14-14-4-10) rating would seem to indicate that there were no on field or right field bullpens as there would have been in 2005 and "05 has to mean 1905 or 2005.

I've been doing a little research this morning and can't come up with any information indicating there was a Fenway '05 as a forerunner to present day Fenway Park.

I would say you're right since there was no Fenway Park in 1905
But I believe in 2005 the right field bullpens were already installed which would not account for a "4" homer rating in right field. Just found the bullpens were moved from fair territory to right field in 1940, known as Williamsburg. Of course it was done to help Williams hit more home runs. So nothing really changed from 1967 to 2005 from what I can see to warrant a "4" homer rating from '67 "17" rating..

Come on you Boston Boys give me an idea of what changed from 1967 to 2005 for the homer rating in right to go from "17" to "4".

Fenway '78 was down to a 9 bpHR for leftys...looks like Trot Nixon & Damon had low HR totals in 2005, but Ortiz hit 47...4 seems out of whack a bit....?

In the 1999 game, Fenway is 17-12-2-7.

I just did a quick search for any changes that were done to Fenway in the 2000s. Notably, in 04 they added seats to the rightfield roof above the grandstand. Perhaps this changed the way the wind worked there? I am just guessing here, but something had to have changed around that time that started to knock down homers.

I agree with you Joe. I think the change in stadiums are sometimes more about personnel than stadium.... or just inexplicable.

Fenway has historically been a tough HR park for LHB's.

In the 1980's it was pretty commonly at 13-10-7-13, for example. It's not how big the ballpark itself is, it's how big relative to the other parks in the league. Most of the newer ballparks are a bit smaller than the flying saucer stadiums of the 70's.
