Well thats a far cry from the 1st rounder you wanted
In steve's defnese, most of his other teams are in 24 team leagues, so a first rounder might be from picks 13-24,

I don't think I ever wanted a 1st. Originally I thought he might be worth a 2nd, which he would be in a 20-24 team league. After seeing the draft unfold, I made my expectations more realistic

Sorry, not buying that defense or is that because he is now a Met
, a 1st FA for a 30 yr old SS who has second best year from the plate, and his best was 5 years ago. Even Steve stated 11th best SS, think any other position player ranked 11th is worth a 1st FA pick?Steve - you asked for a 1st rounder from me a few weeks ago for Cabrera, then came back and asked for a 2nd. Him being a Met has nothing to do with anything. I was only trying to help you maybe understand Steve's thought process. Didn't offer a 1st or 2nd for him, though there was some interest, more a player for player deal, but even that was in line with Steve's final deal with Will
