Knowing the others in your division sure helps with the FA draft. But I couldnt pass Trout no matter who I was up against.
I still get sucked into the magic of batting .300. .280 is quickly forgotten.
Roger Maris never hit .300 and hit .275 only twice. Two time league MVP. I'm sure there are many more examples.
