Sorry guys, I feel strongly about the ZERO arm at catcher and outfield adding a few more quality choices. I like the additional changes of 8's on infield and outfield which will give you guys a bit more flexibility post draft.....Best of Luck.

Yes! Excited but in jest, what are ze rules? Not so in love with the total defense for infield and outfield but have done leagues with similar conditions. Love theme leagues and despite the potential misnomer of the name... I'e had a few myself. If anyone's interested later, I have a Triple Crown league thats NUTS that didn't quite catch on a few years back.

Sorry all, been out of town for a couple of days.

My apologies to Tony Best. my cut and paste skills aren't what they used to be. Welcome to the new additions, DanielZ and Mighty Moose. Password has been sent and will be resent to everyone once we reach 12.

Sorry to see you go, Nomad. Keep an eye on the league and feel free to join back in if you feel. I'm not sure if we'll stay at +1 catcher's arm, it just started that way and it could change if everyone else wants to make the change.

Here is the latest list of rules. We're still looking for two more.

$120M league with DH
4 SPs must all be $8M or greater. If 5 Man rotation than 3 SPs must be greater than $8M and remaining SP's in rotation must be greater than $5m.
Defensive range of 3 starting OFs must total 8 or greater
Defensive arm of each starting OF must be +1 or worse
Defensive range of 4 starting IFs and C must total 17 or greater
Catcher's arm must be +1 or worse
No backup player may have a 1 or 2 range at any position on their card.

Does anyone have any thoughts on Tony's question
What if a starting first baseman has a minus arm in the outfield? Is this a legal player?

I would say not legal, just to keep the integrity of the All P no D theme. Anyone else feel strongly?

I also say no -1 arms anywhere.

How do can plattons match the defense of their counterpart? I'm just not too in love with how the averages of outfield don't even AVERAGE at 3. I thought infield was the same but it seems we're requireed more iron-glove in the infield.

I think I am interested, but I need to check the lack of outfielders issue nomad raised. If enough players are available to meet the criteria it sounds like a fun league.

I think that only allowing "plus" arms, severely limits the player pool, especially at DH. I'm thinkin' Nomadbrad is right about the scramble for the few elite players that qualify leaving waivers a mess, especially at 120m! I have put a team together and just looking for second and third choices is proving extremely difficult, and I'm sure we will all have the same problem.

A quick look and Nomad is correct. A few will win the draft. Everyone else will struggle to expend the CAP intelligently. Good league concept but the rules are too restrictive. Something less complex like 3 range or worse, 0 arm at primary position and allow a few minor cheats at alternate positions is likely the only way to open up the pool enough for the CAP.

As i stated earlier, nothing is written in stone here. If it takes a few rules tweaks to fill the league and make it fair, I trust that we can sort that out. We're almost there. I personally like the idea of everyone digging a little deeper for players that aren't used that often and finding a rare gem.

I vote to allow 0 arms in the OF. The player pool will still be plenty restrictive.
