I wish it was from good managing, but more likely it was having 269 hitter rolls and only 226 pitcher rolls.

Yes the Senators were my childhood team as I lived in Alexandria, VA in my teens. "Hondo" was my hero. I wouldn't have taken the Senators if the Dodgers were still in it, because my Senators wouldn't be the Senators without Howard. I know the Senators are a struggle, but they bring back good memories, until they bolted for Texas in the early 70s. Couldn't forgive the Rangers for 40 years, but now I root for the Rangers in the AL.

I grew up about an hour outside DC and I still have a poster of Hondo (Senators uniform of course) on the wall in my man cave. Him & Epstein will help. Too bad Williams didn't become player/manager as he probably would've been their 3rd best hitters those years.

Ed I checked their roster for this past season and I don't see any potential conflicts with the Tigers. I've been wrong before so reposted the league sheet below...
