Maybe I am skewed by Moneyball, but he seems to get on base more than any other second basemen with that defensive level, anywhere near that price range.

This team with Bishop '26 had my all-time favourite quirky stat line. Max had 0 hr, 0 steals and 0 errors. His DP partner Wells went 35-24-47 in those categories.
What I've found from using the slow Bishop/Stanky type of guys is they don't really score that many more runs batting leadoff than using a guy like Grissom or Vince Coleman.
