Calbatross brought this idea up during the draft and a few others said they would be in favor of it. If a player you own gets hurt and misses most of the year and thus doesn't get a card that you should be able to keep him.

If we did this we would just play with one less (or up to 3 slots down). So for example, I would have been able to keep Yu Darvish but I would have only been able to have 26 active players/cards on my roster. By SOM rules, we have to have 24 players/cards on our team so I guess we could keep up to 3 injured players on our team. To fill out that final draft slot I would say to just draft some .50 guy from the NL and then cut him before the season started and play with 24 players.

If during the season you wanted to cut someone you had thought about keeping on injured reserve I would say to announce/post that in the ILC as well as a league email and you could pick up someone from the FA pool if you felt that was a better move for your team.

So let's hold a vote on this point in the ILC.

1. Page2-Yes
2. Keyzick - Yes
3. Terry101- Yes
4. Calbatross - Yes

I'll vote YES only if we start from this season forward. The non-carded players go on a IR Keeper list. Expand roster to 28 to accommodate the up to 3 players. You still would use a 25 man roster for in season play.

Hi Frank,

This rule change would be for going forward. I will lose out on Yu Darvish because of that but that's just the way it works. So it looks like you will be voting no.

It's not like an exemption for either league can't come into play. If the voting on this was done before drops you would keep Darvish in the AL and I Wainwright in the NL. I'm sure a few others have a player they would have liked to place on an IR List. Schwarber gets hurt and now the rules are going to be changed. Not acceptable and I would like a vote on this season as an option.

Hi Frank,

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XSm ... WESXY/edit

Here is a link to my google doc with NL keeper notes, (even though it shows quotes from the AL League it just happened to be the doc that I had open at the time) while going back over things it shows that the last edit was made 5 days ago which would have been on 4/5/16 Schwarber played his last game on 4/7/16.

So I had this copied I just hadn't posted it yet. Think what you will of that but I just didn't start on this after Schwarber was hurt. I wasn't trying to end run anything here just the rate of the copying and the posting didn't time out on the same day. I will list your no vote on the ballot.

Yes. Would like to see retro active for both keeper leagues.
We could put one injured player ( if needed) on IR from this years
set. I lost one in the AL.

Hi Coachteel,

It won't be retroactive just going forward. So if that info influences your vote either way, make your vote as going forward not as retro active.
