Michael, what you poured out is amazing, and shows why you're so valuable. The community reaction has been amazingly touching too, I know it helped. FWIW, and seems so trivial in light of this thread, but you clearly have a sense of humor. I just joined the WBKL this season, so getting to know you. the draft was more than a month ago, but still remember this exchange....

I can't see Ketel Marte's name now without thinking of this, and laughing. sorry he's leading the league in errors and injured to boot...but pray that you can get back to someday enjoying the absurdity of the things we concern ourselves with in this diversion.

I hear you, Michael. As you know, I've also experienced my share of depression. I'm more Borderline Personality Disorder than straight depression though. My depression comes as a result of not being able to be around people - without losing my sense of identity. I am subject to great mood shifts basically and intense feelings.

Anyways, I implore you Michael to keep doing what you know is right for you. You have a brother in me. And by the way, that was a pretty awesome message about not taking our loved ones for granted - in spite of any perceived flaws and whatnot. We all have flaws, don't we. Gosh, I know I do!!!!

Michael, I just read this thread. Be strong please....I have a good friend that has depression - it hits him hard at times. I can't and won't say that I know what it's like, but at least I can empathize from my friend's experiences...I'm glad that you feel that you can share with this community - it really is a community of friends. I'll be thinking about you often.

Michael, come to NYC man and we'll go out for walk among humanity. We will miss you here in STRATO Land if you need to step away, but we all need to adjust at times and I'd love to talk with you.

Keep hanging on. find the small pleasant/fun things and love them. you've got a lot of support here, use it when needed. nothing but love for you brother! and of course wishing you all the best.
