To alk58 for prospect pick #3
alk to confirm
Let's hold up the draft for a bit...In reviewing the [mind-numbing] discussion from last year at this time, I see that Meat is correct. We nullified a deal he made because his last pick traded was outside the limit of those allowed. In that instance, he traded an earlier pick instead of the later, invalid one.
So, to be fair, I think I need to change my ruling when I pre-approved bigmahon's trade. At that point, he had
- Peraza on his roster and
- Benintendi as pick #2
- Pick #8 for 3rd prospect
- Pick #9 for 4th prospect
- Pick #23 therefore was no longer valid*
* I'd like to say it was, but this would not be consistent with earlier decisions in this league
Just as a suggestion, a legitimate deal would be #8 and #9 for Allan's #3. Both picks would be valid at the time of the trade and then #23 is legal again, since bigmahon would no longer have 4 prospects or picks.
I suppose if big and alk wished, they could then swap back #8 for #23 on some basis and reinstate the original intent of their deal with totaly valid picks
