I can NOT put 3 shortstops, hoping to get 1. (not that I would I have Lindor)...and drop the extra if I got two

this seems obvious but I want to make sure in case I'm not understanding correctly....don't want to short-change myself.

thanks,

Paul

You cannot put 3 SS for your FA because at least one of your FA must be a pitcher.

right. must be 1 batter, 1 pitcher, and 1 anything but under 1Mil. pretty sure I am reading it right. just wanted to make sure it was those 3 on the autodraft card and not those 3 by the time the season starts.

Perhaps this league would be a little more even if there was a serpentine 2nd round to where we could draft an FA. At least the #12 team can be guaranteed 1 player to help plug 1 of many holes on the roster.

Just a thought.

I just assumed it was serpentine...may have overlooked, but I didn't see anything noting one way or the other? Yeah, you'll have a whole lotta ugly to choose from at 12!

Not a serpentine draft, sorry. Look how many days we have been just picking a team. I know most of it was due to Robj08 but it seems there is always someone who for some reason cant get to a computer or forgets about it. Your three non franchise players are chosen as your top three picks on your autodraft card.

Most of these franchise leagues have you sign up with your choice of teams so the people at the end dont get as good a shot but since we did the randomizer before picking we all had the same chances. And remember, last time out the 12th pick won it all. There is much less of a gap than you think when we are talking non playoff teams only. You just have to get into the playoffs and then the dice and Hal decide who wins

Want to remind everyone Eddie switched to an 80mil cap. Just noticed it wasn't notated on the Rules post at the beginning.

Why did we change the salary cap mid-stream? We may need to repick teams as some of the owners may have picked based on a 90M salary cap.

Sorry about the confusion re sal cap. I posted 90 just to be safe but when I looked at the previous time I did this league it was 80 and worked out fine. Nobody selected their teams until after it was changed to 80 so it shouldnt be an issue. However, if a vast majority of the league wants it to be 90 I will relent. Just dont see an issue.

Looks like only SF, CLEV and maybe BOS will go over the $80 cap. Those teams will have a bit of an advantage in that regard
