Question for Brewers fans

PostMon Jun 13, 2016 2:31 am

I'm in a Keeper league and I drafted starting pitcher Josh Hader before this current season. so I'm excited of course to see how well he's done at double AA Biloxi after killing it in the AFL. Now he's just started at triple AAA and did well enough in his first outing. Nine K's I believe and only one hit through six innings.

My question is how likely do you think it is we'll see Hader in Milwaukee during either August or September? I mean if he keeps mowing hitters down why not treat the fans to something special. Maybe it would whet their appetite for next season? People get excited. More tickets sold type thing. Of course if he bombs...

Well?

Well, life long Brewers fan here, and partial season ticket holder for last 20+ years here. The Brewers are absolutely exceeding expectations this year. I think many people thought 100 losses might be pretty likely this year as it was sold all winter as a rebuilding year. Frankly, they have been a fun team to watch.

But that being said, the Brew Crew are nearly certain to be sellers as we get closer to the trade deadline. Obviously, the big stories revolve around Lucroy and Braun, but anyone is certainly fair game, and you could easily see some pitchers leave as well. Once that happens, I would suspect a ton of late call ups. Hader is just outside the top 10 prospect list for the Brewers, but if he keeps pitching well, I think it's nearly certain he'll get a call up at some point. He's 22 and still has all his options.

They just sent down Willy Peralta to AAA, and he was their opening day starter!
