Matt Carpenter would be available to anyone that has picked since then.

Scumby - yes that's a problem. The way to handle that IMO is to drop the last pick, the one that put him over, pick someone else and make sure that guy and his 2 other picks don't total more than 25mil.

I realize that means he has Arenado and can trade him, which is favorable for me of course, but I really think that's the way to do it. He didn't go over 25mil until that last pick.

Personally, I have no problem letting it slide given it's only .53 and we know Arenado will be traded. But rules are rules.

Since he wants Carpenter, would anyone have a problem with the trade standing and Mets make a pick in place of Arenado, which in turn would solve the 25mil overage. I think Mets would prefer that and of course I would. Now that said there's two pieces I still need on my team and I want my two last picks, especially since I'm trading a player not part of my 5 picks. I want to be fair though.

This would suit me as well - or I replace Arenado with Carpenter and make Arenado a free agent

CLARIFICATION:

Is there an online draft that follows or is it the team I drafted and 5 players period?
