I was really hoping this wouldn't be an issue, given the late start of this draft, and the fact that personally I don't really think it matters, but apparently I'm in the minority, (as I've always maintained it's not my league I'm just keeping the ship afloat) since I've had several complaints both in my PM's and my email box about Cubit's pick.

As I was reminded, in year's past we've used the precedent that essentially the prospect draft pool is frozen once the draft starts, thereby preventing someone from waiting out a signing and gaining an advantage over people picking earlier that would not have had access to a player(s) that sign after picks start being made. Because of this I am freezing the draft until Cubit repicks. I would actually like to reset and have the two picks made after Cubit be dropped as well , but that would not be fair to CaliENGR and ehlekev. While I do not think Cubit waited nearly 2 and a half days to make his pick in the hopes that a top prospect would sign. ( given how late he is with most of his picks, I feel pretty safe in making this assumption), the fact remains, that it does appear that this could be the case, and as we all know perception is reality.

Going forward, please note that prospects must have signed their contracts Prior to 3:15pm EDT June 19th to be eligible for this draft, using the precedent we have used in the past. I will amend my description in the first post to reflect what we have done in the past.

I apologize to Cubit, for not making it clear before he picked and also for seemingly besmirching has character by having him drop this pick making it appear he was trying to take advantage of the rules.

And now I apologize to the rest of the league for making us wait again for him to pick. ;)

Check your inbox, just emailed the whole league even though it's likely not going to matter, he's halfway around the world with spotty internet access. I would say skip him , but that isn't fair either.

Why are we not on a 3-hr clock? We are past Round 1 now.

Because I don't have time to babysit.

And given the fact that from my original post he felt he was making a legal pick, skipping him wouldn't be fair.

I agree skipping him would not be fair, but baby sitting? There are many of us that are on the boards during the day to keep things moving along, this isn't rocket science. We all ahould be held accountable to check in from time to time to make picks or leave a proxy. Same thing is goimg to happen for Supp draft?

If not a 3 hour clock, maybe at least 6? Having a draft stalled on one pick for 2 days just takes the fun out of it.

If you like any of these guys better than what's there when you pick, I'd probably be open to a swap:

Max Kepler #30 BBA prospect
Jorge Lopez #59
Jeff Hoffman #68
