Very interesting to me to see which players perform close to their actual season stats, and which are way below. Can't say I see a lot of rhyme or reason to it. From my recently completed 12-team league, here are some numbers to chew on:

------SLUGGING PCT----- ------ON BASE PCT------ ---RUNSCREATED/27OUT---
F.Gutierrez oß .576 J.Votto PEC .431 B.Harper POR 9.0
B.Harper POR .568 B.Harper POR .419 P.Goldschmidt ALL 8.7
D.Valencia REY .565 P.Goldschmidt ALL .413 J.Votto PEC 8.3
D.Ortiz oß .560 M.Cabrera POR .386 M.Trout WAL 7.2
M.Trout WAL .546 M.Brantley ABU .369 D.Valencia REY 7.2
P.Goldschmidt ALL .540 J.Turner GIB .369 F.Gutierrez oß 6.9
C.Davis oß .531 M.Trout WAL .365 C.Davis oß 6.8
C.Correa REY .529 T.Thompson REY .365 T.Thompson REY 6.7
M.Sano ??? .528 D.Valencia REY .360 D.Ortiz oß 6.7
N.Cruz WAL .512 J.Donaldson WAL .360 M.Sano ??? 6.5
T.Thompson REY .498 A.McCutchen REY .359 C.Correa REY 6.4
T.Frazier GIB .492 E.Hosmer ??? .357 M.Cabrera POR 6.4

Danny Valencia and Carlos Correa look like especially good buys. Ditto Justin Turner, IMHO.

If you looked at starting pitching, do you also see any potential value picks like Valencia, Correa and Turner?

I can't believe how bad Hahn is to this point. I got slaughtered in my attempt to build a * staff. I will make it a top priority on future tams.

Nice prediction. We both won it all

very cool. I got lucky in my league, getting into a glitched 20% league. it kept me from making changes when I was 10 under .500. getting red hot and taking it down without any changes except strategic made it all the more rewarding.

my 2nd team missed the playoffs and my 3rd if foundering a couple games out with 50 to go. I missed out on some of my 1st choices, and ended up with encarnacion and betts as my 2 highest paid. big mistake, as both are hitting below .250. then I looked at my 1st 2 leagues and they were similar in both of those. I should have dumped them but I am going to ride it out and hope they get hot.

Now that I have played in enough leagues to have an opinion about this year and am about to commence another season of GBBR, I definitely find that I have witnessed more success in RH Power Parks than LH Power Parks. This has been true of both my own teams as well as opposing teams. I find that Franklin Gutierrez does nearly as well as Harper and Trout for considerably less money. He does have that injury roll and a few 15 gamers in a season is a crapshoot though - Especially if you lose him for the playoffs.

I have seen bargain pitchers out perform considerably more expensive pitchers in the set. Some of my favorites are - Heaney, Jungmann, Ray, Happ, Corbin, Ross, Fernandez, Teheran and Shields. A little higher priced, but still good value - Bumgarner, Jamie Garcia, Liriano, Carrasco and Warren.

I don't have good luck with high priced * SP's in this set, so I stick with 6 man rotations with a LH starter /Reliever and a Rh starter/Reliever that I can use as relief specialists on each side as 2 of them. It has been working out pretty well so far with about 29M being spent on pitching.

I like Correa and Schoop as middle IF's in a RH Power Park and use cheap backups who hit lefties as backups for injuries.

I find either a Perez or Brian McCann platoon with Ianetta to work well at catcher in a RH power park as well.

I also think Ryan Braun is a steal at 4.20 in a RH Power Park. I'm surprised more mgrs don't draft him. He can either start in RF or DH and leadoff and give you 25-35 HRs in that spot and steal 20+ bases. I tend to pick him up afterwards from the FA List. He gives very good production in RH Power Parks like Citizens.

Anyway, That's my 2 cents after several teams. ;)

1 more thing - Sano covers 2 positions as a backup and is the monster DH in this set.

Also, an inexpensive platoon I like is Eaton at 3.34 3R and Pagan at .57 3L at leadoff in CF. Both are 4 range but can save you cap for other more expensive hitters and pitchers. And Eaton can give you 15 HRs too.

2 other value positions I save money at are SS Either Correa 5.80, who can give you 30+ HRs in a Power Park or a RH Power Park, backed by Reyes, a steal at only .56M. The other SS I like for the price is Iglesias 3.92M. He is a 1 range, who kills lefties and holds his own vs the right side - also backed by Reyes.

Then at 2B in a power Park, I like Schoop, only 3.06 6R, platooned with Drew only 1.02 E but a 2e11 at 2B. Schoop will get injured, but still give you 25-35 HRS in a power park vs the right side and Drew starting vs lefties and backing up Schoop when injured can give you 15+ HRs over a season. That's good production for only 4.08M

Ok that's pretty much it.

wow, this set is beating me down. i won a championship with my 1st team, then got consistently worse with the next 3. my current team features 4 or 5 studs in multiple iterations that are batting at or under .200 this time around.

I agree with the RH power parks being the combo this season---Every 2015 80m Citizens Bank team I have fielded so far made the playoffs.

I had one 90M Citizens clunker, but it was a theme league where I couldn't field the hitting/pitching combo I really liked.

I think Gutierrez is the guy for the money also--I missed him on the third team and Grichuck was the replacement -- in fact that third team was a miss on several draft picks and why it was renamed Disastrous Results just as the season started--it had the advantage of a weaker division so I don't think it was the best of the three even though it was the only one to win the final.
