Community - Get into the Card Discussions!

Other than formulating enough RP-onlys for a squad, aren't more NeL cards redundant? It was my understanding that the NeL cards we have now are amalgamations of several seasons into an average card for each NeL player. If they are already representative of the player's career, aren't they as redundant as a 6th Babe Ruth card?

I agree that adding other cards for the current NeL players would be redundant, Andy. On the other hand, there are still a number of top NeL players who are not represented at all.

Excellent Rosie! Valid baseball trivia logic to spearhead this! Not trying to make too strong of a point other than than JD was a great hitter who was probably bashed too much and definitely made alot of money. 870 career OPS. Such omitted quality players should take priority.

I think there's alot to do and a guy like Drew should be considered for his real, if not polarizing greatness/adeptness. I'm excited to see this off Rosie! How are the dozens of boards going to integrate together and choose just 50? Not to gumm up now, just optimistically inquiring. I'd think managers should utilize or at least consider polls to decide tough calls both within individual boards and the integrating between them i mention above.

I would say, that with the Drew example above, his 2004 season and its ~8.3 WAR, nor his .417 1998, would be my picks. (EDIT: or healthy for the game) I think guys should have USABLE and representative examples and a injury prone like 2003, 2005-2006 would be better picks. Heck, people ask for .5 one sided destroyers, too many of which sound a little scary to me, so INJURY bats is a playstyle that could use more playable guys? 5 man staffs too. Monster cards too
