I know you didn't mean to, Rosie, but your answer comes across as a bit patronizing (I mean we are talking about El-Saltman who must go back to Methusalem on the boards here). Do you have any idea of the amount of time that we have been waiting for even the hint of improvements and additions (any number of which can be found in the Wish List forum set up expressly by SOM -- and supposedly the "only" forum that they would read)? Baby steps a few years ago would have been an appropriate answer, but now for at least some of us the anger is so deep that incrementalism is far from acceptable. Yeah, card additions are great and I for one have been clamoring for them for god knows how many years; I am happy that the community will finally get something. But there remain far too many things that could improve this game that have not been addressed by the powers that be.

You're right not my intention. I have mad respect for all the guys that have played this game for many years, I'm a bit pissed I didn't find it until 2013! I see the frustration across many of the guys on these boards and maybe I'd be one of you if I had been playing for 10+ yrs. Hopefully this interaction with SOM around adding these cards opens the door to other conversations about advances in game play.

I believe we should bring in at least 5 Rays with this 50 card add...there isn't even a team listed for TB in the ATG player set browser as we only have one card (Zobrist)...Arizona, Colorado and Florida (Miami) all have multiple players (at least a half-dozen each, if not mistaken)...

Let's show some love for the Rays here...

Bill, I understand. I would prefer this particular selection be about individual cards, and then let the next card addition include one complete team from COL FLA TB and AZ. That would get those franchises filled more than piecemeal additions.

Thanks for the reply Andy. It does seem that there is at least somewhat of a leaning towards franchises at this time, based on the poll results. I'd rather get something now than a promise of more later. If they add AZ, CO or FL it does nothing to change the fact that there is one card for a Rays player in the entire set.

No offense meant, but I am not in favor of nonMLB cards.

What I really wish, and have stated often, is that Strat would create TWO ATG sets: an MLB-only ATG set consisting of cards from 1894-present and an "Unleashed" ATG set similar to the Unleashed sets in the 20xx game. You could add Japanese cards, Cuban cards, outlier cards like Gates Brown, pre-1894 cards, and any other non-MLB cards the community wanted to add.
