I did some digging and discovered Wera hit his HR off a LH relief pitcher named Bobby Burke the 2nd game of a July 4th doubleheader the Yanks won 21-1. The starting pitcher was right handed, the basis for their platoon splits at B-R.

Ok, good job. But still the number of HR chances is just plain nuts.

Well, he hit 1 HR in 12 at bats vs. lefties. So by having 10.8 HRs plus 8 BP Hr chances, if you bat him 12 times vs. a lefty and 6 of those rolls are on his card, you will get 1 HR chance. So his card is quite accurate
