As a history lesson for any new members we have run this league twice (maybe more often but I have been in twice recently) and the results were:
Dodgers - won, lost in finals
Giants - won, lost in playoffs
Cards - lost in finals
Mets, Rangers, Yankees - lost in playoffs
A different mix of teams each year which totally changes the makeup of the teams. One year included Angles, Mariners, Indians & Expos. 2nd year those teams were gone and replaced with Padres, Blue Jays, Cubs, and Phillies. So the Phillies (my team) in year 2 sucked but could have had success in year 1 or in a different division in year 2.
Don't want to give away any secret players (like a player playing 20 games one year for a team that everyone forgot about so that team owner can sneak in and get him) but just a couple of well known player examples. The Pirates were not chosen either year so Giants got Bonds both times which helped them. The Rangers had ARod in year 1 but year 2 the Rangers and Mariners were out so the Yankees got ARod without competition. I guess going last has one advantage. So no one pick the Giants or Pirates so I can get Bonds for free.
Hopefully everyone is ready for a few seasons of this and gets to try to win with different teams.
