No, we picked 2 full teams. All those player are ours. I'm not sure why we would have to forfeit those players.
It's nice to have a farm club just in case a rash of injuries befall your team. Call up a kid from the Toledo Mudhens to fill in while the big leaguers are on the mend. What's more baseball than that?

Its not like there will be studs that are left off of our 28 man rosters that can be brought up and down. Technically you could drop/add your stud SP every night thereby letting him start every series but none of these fine owners is going to do that.

I'm in several keeper leagues with a 15 player farm club. I don't believe that the system will allow a new picked up player pitcher to pitch without rest. The system holds on to each player's history. Even when dropped, it keeps track of Injury Days and rest between starts.

I agree - that's an ideal concept. My concern is/was that some of these two team combos have way deeper pockets than most which I would think most of us to agree that that is inherently unfair??

Since we can only field 9 players at a time, I don't think players outside the 28 on the roster are all that impactful. In some cases, the deeper teams who have no big stars can make it more of an even playing field. The 2-team concept has never been a situation where every team is equal. That just doesn't happen. Not being able to play a guy due to a salary cap isn't a good answer either. Everyone just play with the cards that are dealt. In this case, the cards you picked.

Frankly, my intention was to check out the set (and growing in Philly, I'm particularly happy about my first team pick). I picked $200M cap out of a hat, but with the idea that we could use any and all players from our two teams plus two players and within the SOMO game engine. The serpentine draft has a leveling effect, but that doesn't mean all teams are created equal. Most everyone on here is a seasoned manager, so I'm hoping for a good deal of sportsmanship (i.e., not gaming the system to start a single stud pitcher).

My roster is $104M plus another $7M or so from the two other players. My non-roster squad will be largely low-end players, some with a bit of upside, but nothing to shout about. I doubt I'll make many roster moves, save for changing things up for the heck of it (hello Charlie Hustle). And I also doubt I'll win the league...
