3. Non-core 4 and 5 players are up for grabs during the auto-draft, right? For example, with Reggie Smith, the Dodgers and Red Sox would have an equal chance to get him during the auto-draft.
Yes. It all comes down to ranking for those guys. I lost out to the Reds on Frank Robinson in the 60's.

So there's no keeper process from the 60s teams? I assumed that in keeping with the franchise concept that since I was never dumb enough to deal him away like Dick O'Connell did that Reggie Smith would still be a Red Sox, (Red Sock?). Not so? And if I lose him shouldn't I at least get Bernie Carbo and Rick Wise?

Ultimately keepers across decades would be great but for this first pass through time its just cleaner to wipe the slate clean. I didn't analyze the impact per franchise to determine the guidelines around it. If we're able to keep the momentum for another run at this concept I'll definitely look closely at this and take suggestions.

I am suprised to see the Reds in the west. They are from Ohio which last time I checked was still east of the Mississippi. Shouldn't the Texas Rangers be in the west? They wear western wear and cowboy hats in Texas

If we had more AL West teams that's what I would've done but if we get in our hot tub and go back to the 70's the Reds did pretty well in the NL West.
