I've been pretty shocked by my W/L record all season. My top 3 starters and offensive LU should be doing much better. Looks like the ratings bear that out. Sometimes a team will do unexpectedly good, or unexpectably bad, and my squad seems to be the latter. I looked into making some pre-81 game moves, but just wasn't anything there (I thought) to make my team better. I looked at Closer because my tandem closers aren't exactly top tier, but the numbers for my closers aren't bad. Oh well.

Thanks, as always, for the ratings.

Seeing your ratings is one of the delights of the NLD.

I'm not too surprised by the ratings of my team - or by their performance (run-of-the-mill). Goldschmidt has been a big disapointment, but Mahtook has made up for it. Gordon has also picked up the slack for Betts' shortfall, so far. Bradley would be more of a downer, but his defense has eased the pain caused by his hitting shortfall. My pitching is really screwy - best starters have been my lower cost guys. Betances has been golden in the pen.

I usually play better defense. I'm also having trouble calibrating my perspective for the bigger cap. I would have expected parity across the board as the higher caps usually seem to have an equal dispersement. I'm having trouble getting back some run differential that I gave away in some early blowouts. Pomeranz has been a gem for me in every season but this one. His suckitidue combined with Felix and krod are killing this team.

This is three in a row that you have been the class of the regular season if my memory serves. You have this set measured up.

Sort of like my Giants right now. They are just horrible. Can't buy a break nor make their own.

But, getting back to SOM, yeah, it happens. Without looking too deep, the only thing that strikes me is how RH'ed your lineup is. Maybe you're seeing a bunch of hard RHP. The other thing is your have high injury guys so maybe you're getting more than your share there? In fact, you have only one guy with > 600 PA and your bench isn't super good.

Seeing your ratings is one of the delights of the NLD.

Why thank you Spider. I really appreciate that. Funny how sometimes your cheaper pitchers do well.

I would have expected parity across the board

Honestly, all the teams *are* pretty good except for, I would say, the bottom three ratings. Dale is a big surprise. As for my record, there is still a long way to go and Semper isn't very far back. Our hot streak put us there, we'll see if we can do anything close to that again or continue to at least play well enough to stay on top.

We gave up 18 last night in one game. Do you realize 18 is the total goals scored in the entire World Cup®?!

I did not know that. Pretty crazy, but I guess I'd rather lose big and save my runs for the close games! ;)

Came to conclusion that what I had was not working, night after night, so made a shake-up. Yes, a 20% cap hit rarely turns a team around, but was frustrated looking at the results everyday. At least I can look at the boxes to see how some "new" guys did. Expectations remain low, however.

I've come to the conclusion that I cannot build a winning hitters park team. The only consolation I have is that I'm not last.
