There will be an Unleashed set next year but, to your point Terry, Glen Head will have to dig deep into the splits.
5 players in the past 3 Unleashed sets have had < 50 PA’s so that's not a criteria, and many have had an OPS < .811 (where did you get that number?).
This year’s set had 4 players with a salary > 8.29M. Next year I think it will look more like the 2012 set when there were 10 players with a salary < 3.59M. As an example from that year, Adrian Cardenas had an OPS of .552 and a card value of .55M. His one redeeming grace was he had 54 OB chances vs. LHP. Thus his inclusion.
In 2013 Bogaerts, with 49 PA’s and .684 OPS, had a salary of 1.66M. 40/60/46 vs. LHP (only 18 PA’s!). Couldn’t defend but nice DH vs. LHP.
If Snyder (47 PA’s) is included he would have a wacky card vs. LHP. 13 PA’s. 2.00 OPS.
Sanchez (53 PA’s), especially since he is a catcher, probably is included. 46 PA’s vs. RHP with an OPS of .886.
Whether these individuals get in or not rest assured there will be others in their place.
