SP Fatigue

Is there any penalty to a pitcher for his fatigue rating declining? I had Jerry Reuss pitch 3.1 innings below F9 against me and he did not surrender a run. He pitched the entire 9th inning at F0.

I've noticed this in a few of my games lately, where the pitcher gets well below F9 and it doesn't really seem to affect his performance. I"m just thinking, if there really is no penalty, and there certainly doesn't seem to be any, it would make sense to put the pitchers you know are on good cards to F0 instead turning it over to the gasoline toting bullpens that seem to be so prevalent in Strat.

In the 70s-80s leagues, you don't see the dice results, you only get the outcome. So you can't see that when a pitcher reaches and continues to pitch under F0, there are less and less dice results that fall on the pitcher's card-the outs come the offensive cards or the defensive charts. So yes, you can get lucky and get away with no prejudice from having a F0-state pitcher, especially if you play against poor offense, but at some point, even the best pitcher will be as bad as a .75 cheapie reliever.

Murray has one of the best card in ATG. Once he reached F0, 12 reads on offense, 2 reads on the pitcher card and 1 on the fielding chart. 10 runs allowed!!

Sounds good, thx for the info Marc. It probably is my offense, several of my guys seem to be on pretty pedestrian years.
