90s League/DH/$60M/10% Drop Penalty
For those who want to play 90s with players not often used in traditional 90s Leagues.
There are two limiting factors:
1. $60M Salary Cap
2. Your team must be composed of players who, when compiled together give you a CARDED representative from each of the 30 current MLB franchises. This condition will be in effect for the ENTIRE SEASON.
For Example:
Nomar Garciaparra can represent BOS and BOS only, as that is the only team that his Years are carded for. Quinton McCracken represents TB/COL/ARZ simultaneously and he will fill your slots for said teams.
Thus, you do NOT need 30 players, instead you need the 30 teams to be represented among the years CARDED by your players…McCracken is therefore, a more valuable player than he otherwise would be, since he represents 3 of the more obscure teams.
Keep in mind that the Angels will be shown as CAL/ANA/LAA, so you may use any of those players that show as CAL/ANA/LAA to satisfy the Angels. The team with the least number of representatives is TB, therefore each manger must have and be limited to ONE and ONLY ONE of the following 13 TB representatives:
Alvarez, W/Hernandez, R/Lopez, A/Rekar, B/Canseco, J/Martinez, D/Sorrento, P/McCracken, Q/Kelly, M/
Martin, A/Stocker, K/Gomez, C/Flaherty, J/
DO NOT attempt to create your draft card with a representative from each team…you may draft as you normally would for a 60M…just ensure that you have one rep from each team by OPENING DAY. Use the preseason to tweak your roster to accommodate the league rules.
After the rosters are formed…we will all provide a list of players which represent all of the 30 franchises via the league chat for transparency purposes. Any subsequent roster moves during the season will need to be submitted with an updated status report with appropriate changes to the multi-franchise report, again for transparency purposes.
Any questions, feel free to post them on the League Thread in the Mystery Discussion Forum. Good luck and Happy Hunting!
