We've done several 07-14u Franchise Leagues, but not lately.
Here's the simple rules:
$100M cap
Each Manager selects franchise upon signing up
Must play in Franchise's stadium (any year)
Frenzy
DH
5% Drop Penalty throughout
Random Divisions
For players who are carded to more than one team here's the tie-breaker:
Team with most carded years
If a tie for number of years, the team with the highest salary
If there's still a tie, most AB/IP will prevail
If the team with the most carded years isn't selected in the 12 Franchises, then player would belong to the 2nd highest highest carded years, or the highest salaried card if years are tied.
If an Owner chooses not to roster a player with whom he Owns, that is has the most carded years, he may not be picked up by another Owner, such as the second most carded years. He is a part of that Franchise's "farm system" so to speak.
You must use a card from your Franchise team.
One other note: There's a few players carded twice to two different Franchises. Roy Halladay is one of those. The highest-salaried card is who those players would belong to. Note: Falcon has posted a list below of these duplicate cards.
I urge everyone to fill out their draft card quickly and tweak after we draft. No one may own any of your Franchise players, IOW we aren't fighting for players in the autodraft. If you accidentally draft someone that doesn't belong to you please let go of him so the rightful Owner may pick him up.
