Sorry to see you go Mike. Hope to play with/against you in future leagues.

Before I put out an open all-call for a sub, does anyone have a friend/relative that may want to take Mike's spot. We have time so I'll give it a week or two before looking for a replacement on the boards.

Since I reached the finals in both my current 24-team leagues I have decided on continuing the "Guess the Belt BA" contest into next year.

You can give your guess any time. Guesses will be allowed until Sunday night at 12am (PST) the day before the season starts (2017).

Contest rules:

1. You only get one guess per season so make it count.

2. I can only give one free credit so no duplicate guesses.

3. You can post your guess either here or in the league message board where we play the games.

4. Your deadline is 12am (PST) the night before the season starts (2017).

5. What do you have to lose? You might as well make a guess.

I can't trade him since I'll have to include free credits in the deal.

We have a replacement for Mike already. Eddie E will be taking over the team for Mike. so as we move into the Hot Stove league (trade central) part of the year and anticipate the upcoming FA draft, Eddie will be the one to contact involving trades.

Thanks for the welcome. I am going to spend the next week or two looking over the league and my roster so that I can get some kind of an idea as to what this team is. Please feel free to contact me at any time regarding trades. I am open to any advice as well. I will probably be looking to add OF depth on first glance with 2b and 1b depth to trade.

Yes it is. I am currently in a face to face league since 2000 where we have keepers. I have also played the 20xx set for quite a few leagues so I understand Strat. However, I have been looking forward to doing a keeper league for a couple of years but have always been the second or third to respond on the boards.

Okay. Sounds good. So you have a basic understanding of when to go for a league Championship and when you hold for the future.

You can ask me about anything - either here or through Private Message (PM). Of course you can also ask the folks here on this thread. That way you'll get varied points of view on a given subject. There are people here that have played online Strat much longer than I. But I'll give you whatever knowledge I might have.
