you'd still be able to "keep" uncarded players, just not able to draft them in a FA draft. so if you had a guy get hurt, you'd still get to keep him the next year for when he got healthy, but nobody could draft uncarded players in hopes that down the road they are carded.

It also (inadvertently) guarantees that our FA drafts would need to occur after the cards are released

The draft is after the new cards are released so that is not possible.

I mean that if we passed this rule it would make the FA draft have to be after the card set is released.

as it stands now, we have no date for the Spring FA draft. we did it in early Feb last year. cards dropped right in the middle of our draft if I remember. or maybe just after.

I'd rather do the draft after cards are released, but we'll worry about that later.

after looking at my roster, I probably am on the border of contending. That means I have to go all in to get there or I need to trade away some chips to get better in the upcoming seasons. If I trade away some chips I can say that I am not married to anyone but my surplus lies in guys like David Price, Trevor Story, Mike Napoli, __________ (you fill in the blank).

How about some feedback from the other 23 of you? Where does your roster stand?

I went ahead and dealt David Price. I still have Mike Napoli, Trevor Story and Daniel Murphy on the table. Nobody is off limits but it has to make sense to me of course.

you need to post all trades here (and confirm them) then I put them on the official league spreadsheet.
