I agree. But the selection of the 61 Yanks by CF17 makes this a moot point as far as wanting to put Rizzuto on the 56 Yanks, doesn't it? Because unfortunately, this league won't be able to support both of those teams - too many crossover players - Mantle, Berra, etc.

But for any other similar situations, I agree with rolandzeut that the original rules should be followed.

In looking over the 1909 Tigers it will be a tough road against the non deadball teams. Outside of Bush, Crawford and Cobb there is not much hitting. I remember playing with this team as a young man and they seem to do pretty well. Last tome I had the 27 Pirates and ended up 81-81 but they had more hitting. I'll need to really look at the sub million dollar players for some hitters

This will be fun. Come on to Detroit and pad your record

Rules are on 1st page of thread:
5) Teams can pick any stadium (I thought it was easier to deal this without requirement, as some teams don'T have an assigned stadium

I don't want to go to the trouble of running a poll. If two players are opposed to the possible rule change then we'll just go with the original rules - especially since Rizzuto is now a moot point

1. Honor System:
2. If at all possible, use a ballpark from the same general era for your selected franchise year (and the particular year, or close to it, if possible)
3. If #2 isn't possible, please try to use a ballpark that is at least generally consistent (in character and era) with your selected franchise year
4. declare your chosen park on these boards in order to avoid duplicates if possible
