I think the focus should be on adding players without any cards in ATG8 at all, regardless of era.

Billy Almon
John Wockenfuss
Ron Blomberg
Pepe Frias
Julio Lugo
Miguel Cairo
Jerry Kenney
Rick Cerone
Randy Ready
Miguel Dilone
Mariano Duncan
Gerald Williams

Appreciate the input but the previous add was very EXP ERA heavy so I feel there's an obligation for us to attempt to balance it out a bit. I do however prefer to lean toward players with no ATG cards as you mentioned or significantly improved or better representations for those players already in ATG.

I think we need to look at the EXP era in two halves...67-93 and 94-present (wild card era)...

The last add had 1 card from the 60s, and 2 from the 70s...Fifteen cards were from 95 and up...

Thanks,
Bill

I agree. Actually, the 1990s are poorly represented as well.

I agree, and not just because the 60's and 70's were my favorite era :D

Completely agree. I've been looking at the split as 67-99 and 2000+ but haven't spent a ton of time analyzing the players represented yet. Your suggestion could be where we end up .

Causey Wayne 1964 A's 645 0 11 281/377/386/763

A bit light on Pitchers but it takes quite a it of effort to dig into them to see if they might be in the $$ target we are aiming for. Kudo's to SteveF for looking into Roebuck and Smith, I think they could be good specialists at an inexpensive $$. Most of the players listed from the 60's have cards in the Mystery set.

I tried to stay in the cadillac card years best I could so there are a few (ie. Rogell) that I shifted to take advantage of that. SOM provided me with a list of years and level of research done.

The two pitching recommendations are exactly what this role player collection should be adding. Usable players at low salaries. Great job by SteveF. I hope they get voted in.
